Dear GG Students,
We are very excited for our trip with all of you to the Dominican Republic this summer. We are looking forward to connecting with each of you before our trip, and also wanted to start off with a little introduction:
My name is Rachael and I am a proud Bay Area native, grew up in Hayward, and attended Mt. Eden High School. I moved to Santa Cruz and attended Cabrillo community college in Aptos, and then transferred to San Jose State. I currently live in Menlo Park, and work at Stanford. I am also attending University of San Francisco part-time and working towards my Masters in Higher Education.
The reason I chose to be a GG leader is that I greatly value the experience of becoming a global citizen. I traveled to Australia on a study abroad semester while I was an undergrad at San Jose State and it greatly transformed me in so many ways. I grew a lot personally and I think this is an experience everyone should have- so I am excited for this experience you are all about to have!
I am looking forward to meeting all of you, and supporting each of you on this trip. I will be reaching out to each of individually to learn more about you and what you are looking forward to as well. Can’t wait!
