Families, you all got this update via email already, but I also wanted to leave a trip blog with updated info on the JA2B flight to Chicago.
We are following up with an update on JA2B’s return travel. As you know, United Airlines canceled your student’s original flight home from Newark, NJ to Chicago. Students have now been rebooked on return flights for tomorrow Tuesday, July 19th. Please see your student’s flight information below:
UA Flight 1535 | Departing Newark at 5:00pm ET | Arriving in Chicago at 6:40pm CT
For this evening, the students are safe and are spending the night in a hotel accommodation provided by Global Glimpse; they received meal vouchers from United for lunch at the hotel tomorrow, but all other meals will be covered by Global Glimpse. Students can use their own money to purchase snacks and other foods, but their main daily meals will be taken care of.
Students have their cell phones and are free to stay in touch with you throughout this evening and their travel day tomorrow. Please check your portal account for airport pick-up information and this blog for any flight updates tomorrow. We thank you for your patience and understanding amid this change in travel plans, and we look forward to reuniting you with your student soon.
