Hey there everyone!  I’m so excited to be just finished with school, and now able to focus on out upcoming trip! This is my first year working at Horace Mann School – I work as a teacher at the outdoor education campus in CT.  I work with all the ages of HM students – from walking in the swamp and catching frogs with 2nd graders, to star-gazing with 5th graders, to backpacking with 8th graders, to climbing and white water paddling with high school students.  I love being active and enjoying the outdoors – in the past I’ve worked leading 10 to 22-day canoe expeditions, as well done personal backpacking and/or paddling trips throughout the US, as well as in Canada, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia.  I also am super passionate about travel, especially when you get the opportunity to interact and explore beyond the typical tourist.  For 3 years I lived and worked in Kenya (as well as occasional time in India), coordinating and leading service learning trips for students, families, and corporate groups.  I am constantly curious and in awe of what the world, it’s different landscapes and cultures, has to offer, and I enjoy learning at every opportunity.  I have never been to Ecuador before, so I am stoked to get to see a whole different corner of the world, and to be able have the experience that we will through Global Glimpse is going to be amazing!
