Hello Glimpsers!
My name is Amy Hanson and I am one of your Global Glimpse Leaders! I am so excited to meet you and take off for Guaranda, Ecuador on July 7th! We still have about 6 weeks until our departure but I want to get us excited about our journey.
This is my 4th GG trip and I couldn’t be more excited to return to lead our trip this summer. I am a Spanish teacher at Woodside High School. I have been teaching for 15 years! I began my career in the south suburbs of Chicago and after about 10 years teaching in the city, my husband and I moved to San Francisco. I currently live in SF and commute to the peninsula to teach. I love the Bay Area and a big part of that is Global Glimpse. This organization helped me to build a community of like minded educators and social justice advocates that inspire me to do more and give more everyday.
In my free time, I love exploring San Francisco…eating at new restaurants, going on urban hikes, checking out new exhibits, or attending networking events. I also love working out at Orangetheory Fitness. I began working out at OTF 3 years ago and it has become a part of my daily routine. Exercising gives me the chance to disconnect from the day and focus on me.
