Hey, fellow Glimpsers and Families/Friends!
My name is Georgina Arvizu, and I am excited to travel to Jarabacoa this summer! I am grateful for the opportunity to have a wonderful experience with our team. I am a student at Felicitas & Gonzalo Mendez High School located in Los Angeles, California. In the past years, I have worked extremely hard to leave an academic mark for myself, getting all my work done and assisting my teachers with any assignment they need. Aside from school, my favorite hobbies are dancing, listening to music, and listening to horror stories. My favorite snacks are peanuts, Doritos, Mango Arizona, pistachios, popcorn, and noodles. I love the food saying, “Food is Life.” I grew up in Los Angeles with a small Mexican family who raised me to eat anything on the table(whether I wanted to eat it or not), resulting in a love and appreciation for all food.
This is my first time traveling with Global Glimpse, though it isn’t my first time traveling. I have been to a few places within the country, like Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Catalina Island. I am most excited about meeting new people and making fond memories. I applied to the GG trip because I was informed of the great adventures and excitement the trip would provide. I am hopeful this trip will form a new perspective on different world views, ethics, and values within their community.
