Who We Serve

In 2017, Global Glimpse will serve over 1000 students and 90 educators from 70 high schools across the San Francisco Bay Area, New York and Chicago!

We believe it is critical for young people from different backgrounds to come together and create meaningful connections. Stepping out of their comfort zone and experiencing new things together helps students understand larger social contexts and take action together to better their communities.

How do students apply?

Students are nominated to participate in the Global Glimpse program by teachers, Global Glimpse alumni, and administrators at their school. Nominations are based on demonstrated leadership, community involvement, and potential for collegiate and career success. Global Glimpse accepts 10-30 students per school each year. Motivated students from non-partner high schools may also apply to join a Global Glimpse program as independent student participants.

How are scholarships awarded?

Global Glimpse believes transformative international experiences should be accessible to students from all backgrounds. We provide scholarships to our students based on family income, dependents in the home, and the free and reduced lunch percentage at the school. Depending on the scholarship level awarded, student program fees range from $500 to $4200. Student fees include airfare, accommodation, transportation, meals and all facets of the international immersion program as well as preparatory after school workshops and our alumni ambassador program.
