35 Years ago Nicaragua was celebrating the liberation of Somoza dictatorship, and started a new age for Nicaraguan people, 35 later people still celebrate the revolution who changed the history of Nicaragua.  So as today was our history day was very interesting to see, (at least on Tv) how locals celebrate this national party.

Was also wonderful be able to hear real stories from the Revolutionary museum, Don Francisco our tour guide in the museum talked us about his personal experience during the war and how this impact his life, after seen photos of these traumatic escenareos for people we had the chance to go up the roof of the museum and admire a wonderful view. Then we went on a city tour visiting the central park, discovering the 3 eyes inside the cathedral, and also walk around the university headquearters building, finally ending at the Martir’s Mausoleum where we can see in the mural the history of nicaragua.

Surprise!!! after the city tour we all had a very wanted Ice cream at Skimo and then we had dinner at our fantastic comedor Deja vu, finally we closed the day with pour very first nightly meeting, big love, unity clap and self reflection on all the activities we done.

So far a looong day full os history and stories who gave us a glimpse of what is coming in the next 2.5 weeks of program!
