After what turned out to be a long trip, we are so happy to say the Glimpsers are united in Riobamba and had a truly wonderful first day in their new host city. They had so much energy today and spent about 80% of the day laughing their heads off. The group has a really amazing spirit and even in such a short time seems like a unified group.
After the bus ride from Quito to Riobamba, we got our first lunch at one of our amazing food providers. During the afternoon we had our welcome orientation, got to spend some time in the sun acting out skits (which turned out to be a highlight of the day for several students), and the Glimpsers prepared for their very first class as English teachers tomorrow!
We are so excited to finally have the whole group here, and are even more excited to see how much they are already enjoying themselves! Tomorrow we dive in with our first academic topic as we learn about the history of Ecuador. Tune in tomorrow night to see how it goes!
