Hello Global Glimpsers and families!
My name is Dangely Abreu and I am one of your Global Glimpse Leaders (GGLs). My co-leader, Emily, and myself will be leading the trip to Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic. I am extremely excited to meet you all on July 29th. I can’t wait to get to know you all and see you grow during our time together. The Dominican Republic is a place I will always hold close to my heart. It is the place both my parents were born in and a place I once called home. Although I was born and raised in New York, I also lived in the Dominican Republic for 3 years. In that time, I attended school, perfected my Spanish and learned so much about the Dominican Republic. I have traveled to the Dominican Republic many many times and I can’t wait to share this experience with you all.
I have had the pleasure to work as a Teacher Assistant for the last eight years. I work in a middle school on Long Island. I also am a graduate student at Fordham University studying School Psychology. My hope is to become a School Psychologist within the next two years! When I am not at work or school, I enjoy traveling, cooking, trying new foods, dancing, reading and exploring NYC. I look forward to exploring Jarabacoa with you all.
