Today was an unforgettable experience as we visited the amazing organization Impacta Kids. From the moment we arrived, we could sense the positive energy and dedication of everyone involved. Here’s a glimpse into our day and the incredible work being done by this organization.
Learning About Impacta Kids
Our day began with an insightful introduction to Impacta Kids. The organization’s mission is to empower children through sports, education, and community engagement. They strive to create a supportive environment where kids can develop essential life skills, build confidence, and pursue their dreams. Their vision is to cultivate a future generation of leaders who are compassionate, resilient, and committed to making a positive impact in their communities.
Meeting Carmen
We had the pleasure of meeting Carmen, the sister of the founder. Carmen shared with us the inspiring story behind the creation of Impacta Kids and the ongoing efforts to expand their reach. Her passion and dedication were truly inspiring, and it was evident that she plays a crucial role in the organization’s success.
Learning and Playing Baseball
One of the highlights of the day was learning to play baseball. Many of us were new to the sport, but the coaches were patient and encouraging, making it a fun and engaging experience. After some practice, we were thrilled to be part of an actual baseball game. It was an exhilarating experience, filled with teamwork, laughter, and a few home runs!
Connecting with the Community
Meeting and playing with the kids from the community was the most rewarding part of the day. We spent time getting to know them and learning about their dreams and aspirations. The joy and enthusiasm they displayed were infectious, and it was a reminder of the importance of organizations like Impacta Kids in nurturing young minds.
Reflections on the Day
Our visit to Impacta Kids was not just about playing baseball; it was about connecting with a community and understanding the profound impact that supportive environments can have on children. Carmen and the team’s dedication, the kids’ smiles, and the sense of community left a lasting impression on all of us.
As we left, we carried with us a renewed sense of purpose and a commitment to support initiatives that empower and uplift children. Impacta Kids is making a significant difference, and we are grateful for the opportunity to witness and be a part of their journey.
We hope you enjoyed reading about our day with Impacta Kids. If you ever have the chance to visit or support their mission, we highly recommend it. Together, we can all make a difference in the lives of children and help build a brighter future.

Wow—sounds like a wonderful day. I love the way the experience of baseball was understood to be about both learning the sport itself and also connecting with the larger organizational purpose. I hope everyone had an amazing time and that the Global Glimpse students are coming together as a team, on the field and off. We miss you, Juniper!

So amazing ☺️ I’m glad you all had this experience, sports/extracurriculars are much more than the activity itself. They help you learn more about yourself and the others around you through teamwork and hardships. So glad Impacta Kids recognizes the importance in facilitating this growth. I hope in the same way, this trip continues to challenge what you all know about yourself too. Do what you wouldn’t normally do, Anna! I’m cheering you on always! ?
