Today we had an amazing day! We started off the day with a breakfast of eggs & toast. That was followed up with a seminar on safety and being a savvy traveler. Afterwards, we had a delicious lunch of rice and beans with beef and eggplant. The beach was what we all needed after several days of traveling. Students had a great time jumping into the waves, drinking coconut water, and relaxing in the sand. With our spirits held high, we returned to the hotel for a seminar about being the leader of the day. Harry Alvarez spoke to us about immigration in preparation for tomorrow’s trip to the sugarcane field. This was followed by a delicious dinner of chicken, plantains, and potatoes. The chicken was fire, and the pans were empty at the end of the meal after students returned for 2nds and 3rds.
