CAP 3!!!!

HELLO FROM NASIR AND GREG!!!!

We kicked off the day by waking up at 7:00 am, waking up the whole group, and eating breakfast at 8:00. We were all stoked about finishing our LAST HOUSE!! We were on time and actually moved fast this morning. At 8:45 am we all gathered together on the bus and got to work. Arrived by 9:00 am and spoke to the locals about what needed to happen. Greg and I were on top of things making sure people were hydrated. We were on a FAST PACE finishing around 12:15.

The process was great! The beginning was a little scary because of the terrain of the area. The house was up on top of a hill so some of us (me) were standing right on the ledge passing heavy buckets of cement while others (Nasir) were safely pouring those buckets. Luckily, as mentioned we had some of the locals to help us.  We made friends with a lot of young kids, picking fruit for them and creating handshakes. As leaders, we were obligated to keep people drinking water, but we were really happy to see that most people didn’t want to take a break and wanted to stay working. The whole group got things done today and heading back to Dilenia we were all fulfilled. 

When we got back we had lunch and did a reflection on the day. Spent an hour getting cleaned up and interacting with each other. Then around 3:30 went to “A Punto de Nieve, Postres y mas” to get dessert where we all stuffed our faces with sweets. We then left at 4:15 to go to the market and get snacks. We got back at 5:53 where we then relaxed until 7:00 and had dinner. 

After dinner, we had our usual nightly meeting and passed the torch to our last leaders of the trip Hillary and Lovely. It was great getting a chance to lead during our last work day, and luckily tomorrow we get to relax. After the meeting we had some free time and then went to bed. Yes, we did some work, but we also got some well-deserved rest for Night Night Sleepy Time!!! 

P.S. I love you ma and miss you. I can’t wait to see you when I get back. I love you baba, have a great time in Turkey (don’t have too much fun without me). – Fehim
