Today, we had an amazing day at Monte Coca! We got into groups of 2-3 and helped families with chores. We bonded with children and families in the community and learned more about their daily routines and what it’s like living with limited supplies and resources. After, we got to eat some delicious food that the community made for us.
We also did some activities with the children, like playing with clay, making slime, painting, and playing soccer! It was such an amazing experience learning and empathizing with the Monte Coca community. We committed to bonding with families and uniting the children there. Everyone had a fun time, and there were many smiles around us. After, we came back to Ascala and had a yummy dinner and our nightly meeting. Can’t wait for an amazing day tomorrow!
