Day 13: Travel to San José

Good evening everyone! Today we traveled back to San José for the start of a long journey home. We began the day with pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs, sausage and yogurt. It gave us the energy to get through our final reflections, which were very emotional for everyone.
We revisited the journey each student took for the past two weeks, discussed all the fun activities, the speakers, the CAP and everything in between. Students shared about their favorite moments, what they have taken away from the program about themselves and their leadership, and one person who has inspired them along the way. They also gave one last BIG LOVE to each other and ended with even more love during a tap on the shoulder exercise. It was amazing to see the connectedness of the group and to see them with happy tears as they reflected on their experience.

After the morning reflection we had an amazing lunch of potatoes, pork chops and salad. It was very difficult to say goodbye to our amazing chefs, Diego and Vera. We will all miss their food very much. Not only is it delicious but it is made with so much love.
Once we finished lunch we packed up the bus and headed to San José where we are staying for the night before going to the airport for 4:15am!

Everyone is looking forward to seeing family and friends very soon! Hope everyone has a good night and we will see many of you at the airport tomorrow.

BIG LOVE from the last leader of the day and one of the GGLs…Aimee aka señora

This was a beautiful reflection and overview of that last day for you and your delegation Aimee! Those reflection activities can be very powerful and the good byes very difficult. I know you all had a loooonnnnggg travel day back so thanks to you and your delegation for battling through it. At least it gave you a lot of additional time to reflect and for those goodbyes, ha. Thanks so much for leading this trip!
