Day 2 (Hydration)

Hello again from your C2B Global Glimpse Leaders Juan & Olivia! I know you all are anxiously waiting for the daily update (and yes, this will be the final blog post from the adults – tomorrow the Glimpsers take over)!

With that being said, let’s get into what today looked like! Boy oh boy did we move and groove! Today started with a walking tour of the city of Constanza with some stops at the local battalion base where we got a tour around their common space and met the national birds of the Dominican! Later, we went to the fire station and heard about what they do aside from putting fires out, for example, their community involvement, and got to slide down the fire pole! After the walk, we made masks that originated from the Taino culture. We ended our activities for the day by getting some incredible dance lessons and are now merengue and bachata professionals. That dance room got pretty sweaty so we cooled down with some yummy ice cream and officially ended our day!
