Hello everyone!
Our day began with a 6:45 am wake-up call in Panama City. We hopped on the bus and went to Niko’s Cafe to have traditional Panamanian food. The glimpsers enjoyed some omelets, hojaldre (deep-fried bread), sausages, tortillas, and some coffee and juice.
Then we went to Casco Viejo, the old town district for a walking city tour. Glimpsers learned a little bit of Panama’s history and culture and got to explore the Plaza V Centenario, The Metropolitan Cathedral, The Mola Museum, and the Panama Canal Museum. Right after, we got the subway to go and got on the bus for a 5-hour drive to Las Tablas! Our home for the next 13 days! During the bus ride, most of the students were talking, singing, and sleeping.
We run a couple of seminars, the welcome and orientation followed by the leader of the day seminar. Now glimpsers are getting ready for bed to recover energy because tomorrow we have a packed day filled with interesting activities.
The torch has been passed on to the next Leaders of the Day (LDD) for Day 3 Culture and City Tour Day.
