Today was our official first full day in our home for the next 14 days!!!
Our day started with a typical Costa Rican breakfast called Gallo Pinto (rice mixed with beans, eggs, bread and natilla) along with some fruits! We started our welcome and orientation seminars and gave our Glimpsers some guidelines to make sure these days are fun and safe for them.
We did some activities and group agreements and had some lunch. In the afternoon some students went in the pool, others played card games and others chilled out. We also had our one on ones meetings.
we did a small walk to the nearby supermarket (El Chino) to buy some snacks for the day and came back to the base house for some dinner!
we had our first official nightly meeting where our new LDD (Ms. Jasmin) took over with her unique talent!!!!!!!
Today we spent the day chilling at home getting familiar with everything around us.

Thanks for the great updates. Amalia, seeing that you all woke up to gallo pinto brought back such great memories of my homestay in Costa Rica. I can’t wait to hear about what types of fruit is in season for all of you as well. I hope at some point you’ll get too see how coffee grows, if you do take a picture. Sending our love ?
