Hi, this is Miriam and Victor.
We woke up early today because we were the Leaders of the Day and had to do the wake up call at 7 am. At 8 am, we ate breakfast which was tortilla, hojaldra, and sausage. We first did a seminar about the Global Glimpse rules and Savvy Traveler Tips. We then did a tour of Las Tablas, which we visited Santa Librada, a historically significant church alongside a museum going into more detail about Belisario Porras. He was the President 3 times and very important to the people of Panama, hence his reelection. There are streets, schools, etc named because of his achievements as president. We also got to see some of the local shops and architecture.
We then headed back to the hotel for lunch, and learned a little more about our community action project (CAP), then we were dismissed for a light break. Then returned for another meeting; this time to discuss with the students about their experience so far. We then were dismissed for an hour break. Some people took naps; some people went to the pool; others played games. We then had another meeting and another little break until dinner. For dinner we had chicken pasta and garlic bread.
After dinner, we had our nightly meeting, where we passed the torch to the next leaders of the day and began taking notes on the agenda for tomorrow to prepare. After, we were again dismissed for a break until lights out.
