Welcome family and friends!
We’re about to wrap up Day 3 of our beautiful trip so far in Costa Rica. Today, we traveled to Cartago and learn about the city, the culture, some history and went shopping! We didn’t let the rain stop us… yet!
First, we had a wonderful breakfast of gallo pinto, fried eggs & fresh fruit. The fresh juices were amazing! Watermelon juice is our fave! Check it out below:

Coffee ready y sandia!

The staff decorates our tables with flowers before every meal!

We also get beautiful morning views of the volcano!
Then, we were off to our bus for an hour-long drive to Cartago, where we visited iconic places like the current basilica, the ruins of the original basilica, and the history behind its relocation in the town.
Then…we can’t give you TOO many details, but we went shopping afterward. * wink wink*
It started raining in the afternoon, so we played some team-building games, made some amazing team goals for the rest of our trip, and had a fantastic dinner.
We just finished our nightly meeting, and our very own Colene will be the LDD (Lider Del Dia) tomorrow. Be sure to check back in for our next post – tomorrow is going to be SO COOL!!!

p.s. We read the last post’s comment, so we made a Google folder with all of the photos that we take so that you can see them. Check it out here!
