Hey, Chloe and Tish here, the first Líderes Del Día.
Today we woke up at 7 am and had a great breakfast made by Isabel (our queen). At around 10 am, we took a tour of the city, stopping at Plaza Eloy Alfaro, Parque Sucre, and La Plaza de la Concepción, aka Plaza Roja. Then, we went to Palacio Real, where we had a lunch of quinoa soup and llama! We took a tour with a wonderful woman named Trinidad, where we saw the plants eucalyptus and zig zag, along with Hacienda Pugro. She told us the story of this rock that catches water in front of the Hacienda about the Valencia family, who tried to take this stone with them, attempting to make indigenous people move the rock, giving them headaches.
We walked with Trinidad’s llamas for the whole tour, and then we went back to the restaurant. We met a painter named Pablo, then had the choice to paint either a wooden spoon or a rock, inspired by his artwork.
At 6:30 pm we had dinner with Isabel followed by a dance party; it was so fun! We even interacted with another group of Glimpsers. Finally, we came back to the hotel to have our nightly meeting.
Today was very fun!
