Hey everyone!
Today started with breakfast in the morning at 8 am and a fun and challenging mental warms up where we participated in a fun game of Zip-Zap-Zop. Following this we took a trip to a coffee plantation where we learned about the quality and history of coffee in Costa Rica. We also learned about the process of how coffee was discovered and that there are different varieties of coffee. We then went to lunch and enjoyed some good food to refuel before we proceeded onto the next half of the day!
Later we finished having lunch in a local restaurant where we had an amazing time. We went to visit a local farm that was named “Florita” run by a female farmer, which is rare in Costa Rica! The name of the owner of the local farm is Karla. She taught the different types of grass that she would feed to the 7 cows that she owns. Additionally, two students volunteered to milk the cows and Karla then taught us the process to turn the milk into cheese. Finally, after a tiring but adventurous day, we came back to the base house where we had dinner and then our nightly meeting, where we passed the torch to the next leader for tomorrow’s blog.
Stay tuned to learn who are tomorrow’s Leaders of the Day!

Hi there! These have just been enlarged and resized for better clarity! Sometimes, our blog posters upload their photos at various sizes, but we make formatting modifications as needed to ensure they are resized and enlarged the day for better viewing. Hope this helps!
