DAY 5: Aid and Development Day (No. 2)

Hola familias!

Today we had the wonderful opportunity of visiting a local organization (Plan Yaque) here in Jarabacoa that focuses on a variety of community improvements, such as environmental protection. There, we had a guest speaker, Anika, who introduced us to issues here in Jarabacoa that we will be focusing on within the next week. In that process, we visited a local school and talked to community members to hear about their personal experiences and what they believe can better the community. Along with that, we HAD to go to the delicious helado (ice cream :D) spot (the addiction is growing), and had a lot of fun hanging out with each other when we had free time! Having a blast !
