Day 5 : Bonding with the community

Buenas noches a todos!

We started our day off by having a delicious ham and cheese sandwich that we toasted for breakfast. After our breakfast, we then started our mental warm-up which consisted of introducing the leader of the organization called Fundacion Alegria Inocente and learning about the four events they do for the community. Following that, we went to meet the leader of the organization, Bernardo, at his local restaurant. Despues, we headed back to our home and had pollo guizado with arroz con maiz. During free time, we got together and bonded while playing cards. At 2:30 we got picked up to discover the community we will be aiding in development meanwhile meeting members of the community. We even got to watch the local kids play baseball after getting the chance to meet the members of the community. Soon after that, we got back to our casa (Home) and brainstormed ideas for our upcoming projects in our community. Currently, while we are writing this blog post, it’s thundering and the rain is starting to pick up.

During our nightly meeting, Daniel Brown shared the following quote inspired by today’s experiences: “There were 7 billion ways you could’ve been born, yet you were born in a position to help others.”  We have passed the torch to the next liders (leaders) who have gone through our FREE-day agenda.  BIG LOVE to the families from Constanza.
