Hola! Logan, Nolan, and Nisrine here. We woke everyone up with a famous Hispanic song “Gasolina” in order to start off Fun Day Sunday. We then had Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast along with fried ham and our usual assortment of fruit. Then, we got ready pretty chaotically in order to catch the bus. In case anyone was wondering we made it to the bus!!! Whoooo! We are now on the road heading to Las Trillizas waterfall.
Let’s just say the ride was pretty bumpy but short. As the LDDs, we made sure to remind everyone to put on sunscreen, and bug spray, along with multiple water reminders or as Nolan calls it “a community sip”.The 15-minute walk was a challenging journey because of the narrow hill and the steep stairs. As everyone approached the waterfall, our eyes widened at the glistening beauty of the descending water right before our eyes. As we got closer, we approached the three waterfalls of Las Trillizas Waterfall. Fun Fact! Trillizas means Triplit in Spanish, and we had the pleasure to experience that today.
Fun Day Sunday here we go! Splashes, laughs, and flicks! Before us were walls of green as high as a skyscraper. Descending from these walls, and what looked like liquid gold as the sun beamed off them, were the three waterfalls. Many future Instagram pics were taken today and we are so excited to share our experiences. We stayed at the falls for about an hour and a half until we were ready to say goodbye to a view that we will forever cherish and remember. After ascending the mountain back up our previous trail, we enjoyed a lunch where we were able to pick between 4 different meals, all of which were delicious.
With our tummies full and spirits high we, journeyed back to the house where we enjoyed quality time by the pool. We started some phone calls home; something we have all been looking forward to! We were introduced to our first CAP seminar presentation and enjoyed dinner. During our nightly meeting, we all participated in a meditation activity from the future LDDs, and celebrated Phoenix and Sophie’s birthdays; by eating lots of cake and playing music! We had such a fun day, and we look forward to starting our CAP in the coming days!
