Day 7: Our Fun Day at the Waterfall!

What’s up guys!

It’s Kasey and Sophie as Leaders of the Day (LDDs) for our Fun Day. We started our morning with banana pancakes and eggs for breakfast, as well as some different kinds of fruit juices. We then headed off to the bus to depart for our Fun Day!!

We visited a waterfall (Las Trillizas → which means triplets). We enjoyed a 30-minute hike down to the Waterfall, which was filled with both steep inclines and declines, slippery rocks, and very muddy patches. But everybody made it down, and then some of us went for a realllyyyy cold swim in the water, while others dipped their feet in and took some pics. After about an hour, everybody was freezing so we hiked back up. Hiking up was a little bit more difficult, but everybody made it back up safely. We enjoyed a nice lunch at the waterfall restaurant and enjoyed the view.

We headed back to the house and began our phone calls to our families back home. Everybody got a chance to call their families and get them all caught up in their lives here in Costa Rica (even if it took a while because there are 22 of us and only 3 phones…). Without our phones, many of us have learned new card games to play with our new friends to keep us all entertained. We then had our second CAP Seminar to prepare for our CAP workday. We planned our materials, timeline, and the steps. For dinner, we enjoyed some nachos and finished off our night by passing the torch over to our next LDDs. Liana showed off her broadening hair skills, and Amalia showed us a trick with her eyes. We had so much fun today, and cannot believe we are already halfway done!

Even though everyone misses their own bed and their family, we are all having a great time :);).
