DAY ONE: WELCOME AND ACCOMMODATIONS

Hello Everyone,

We made it!! After a very long wait at Logan Airport and the help of all the United Airlines staff, we finally touched down in Santiago at 4:00 am. By the time we gathered our belongings, we were warmly welcomed by our program coordinator (PC) Jean Carlos Mallol and Ruth Figueroa outside at 5:00 am

Short introduction and then on the way to the Hotel Aloha del Sol. Few hours of sleep (3 hours to be exact), breakfast, and a 3 hour ride on the bus direction to Constanza.

Our driver, Rudy was amazing with all those turns, narrow roads; all stick shift!

We arrived at 1 in the afternoon at our hotel Dilenia where we were warmly welcomed with a hot lunch of pollo guisado, white rice, and beans. After some free time, students participated in orientation and some team bonding activities. Everybody was READY for bed and lights out to start a brand new day tomorrow!
