Hello Families & Loved ones,
It’s day two of our trip to Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic and we had an amazing time exploring the city!
During our City Tour we stopped at the Fire department to see how Jarabacoa’s fire department works. It was really cool to see how they take their emergency calls and also how they respond to those calls.
One thing they pointed out to us was how one of their fire trucks is significant because it was used in the 9/11 rescue. It was donated to them.
En la segunda parte del día, los estudiantes tomaron clases de baile con dos maestros experimentados. ¡Bailaron bachata, merengue y salsa! Fue grandioso ver a tantos de ellos bailar por su cuenta. Después, nuestros jóvenes disfrutaron de su tiempo libre jugando voleibol, fútbol, jenga y uno.
Después de una deliciosa cena, nuestro día como líderes terminó, y pasamos la antorcha a dos nuevos líderes, quienes conocerán en el próximo blog.
