Hi everyone today we started the day doing the classic Global Glimpse wake-up call knocking on the students’ rooms to get them ready for the day.
We had our first seminar about culture and safety, and the most important thing we made the group agreements to set the tone for the following days.
After the seminar, we headed out to Jarabacoa downtown to meet the firefighters and learn more about what they do every day, and yes, our students got to go down the famous pole.
Later we explored the city, so students got to see all the places they can visit on their free day as the smoothies place, or the supermarket to get local snacks.
We had some free time in the afternoon and our glimpser had time to play board games and bond.
After an amazing dinner, we had our first nightly meeting and passed the torch to the next leaders of the Day our fantastic GGLs.
And as a cherry on the top, we ended up our day with a birthday cake with ice cream for Fernanda’s birthday.

Happy Birthday Fernanda!!! Sounds like you guys had an amazing day. The firehouse pole looked like an adventure all on its own. We tried zooming into the pictures, but couldn’t make out the faces like we could with the other blogs.
