Final day and Panama Canal

Hi All!!

Here’s a full recap of today; We took it very chill as this was the last full day in Panama. We woke up at 6:30 followed by breakfast at 7:30. The majority ate Hojaldre, and a few ate French toast and French fries which caught us by surprise as we never expected to eat this for breakfast; and a side of fried eggs. After breakfast we finally said goodbye to the home we lived in for 12 days in Las Tablas, our time there was fantastic, and wished to be there more in my experience, as we all enjoyed it.

Our ride to Panama City was very long as it was a 4 – 5-hour ride but before arriving to our hostel, we took a sharp turn to the Panama Canal. We had front-row seats to not 1 but 2 cargo ships crossing the canal. Sadly, it was cut short, we headed to the movie theatre to learn more about the history of the Panama Canal and the future of it. Once we were done at the Canal, we went straight to the hostel to drop and get ready for our dinner in Panama.

Ordering dinner was a mess as we didn’t have freedom to choose what we wanted before. While it took at least half an hour to order, we got through. While waiting for our food we did 1 last reflection which was deep as this might be the last time we will be together. Once the reflection was over, we ate dinner which was amazing. Once dinner was over, we headed back to the hostel which we had a little surprise for a special person; ADYEN!!!

Today was not his birthday but we decided to do something special for him a bit early as tomorrow would be a long day as we would just be on a plane for the majority of the day and would be very boring. Credit to Jason and Estefany (Close Friends with Ayden) for decorating the whole party. Once all the singing and photos were done, we ate cake and afterward, we had free time. Half of the group played games while the other half talked with the friends that they made on this trip as it might be their last time together. That’s our whole day.

While this trip is coming to an end and we are saddened by it, we are also excited to head back to NY, MA, & CT. It has been an interesting trip but also miss our phones and family/friends. Have a wonderful day/night (depending on the time you are reading it) and once again excited to go back.
