Final Day at Jarabacoa :(

Vsem privet and Gamarjoba!

This is Ana and Masha, coming to you live from Jarabacoa, for the last and final time.

This morning for breakfast, we had two different types of eggs (with sausage and without), bananas, toast with a variety of jams, cereal, hot chocolate and iced tea.
The morning seminar included many activities, where we had to explore our experiences, share our emotions and evaluate our growth throughout this program. Tears were shed, hugs were given, fists were bumped. It left us tired yet satisfied.

Lunch was awesome. We had fried chicken and pork, rice with beans, two different salads and platanos.
After lunch, we finished filling out the final evaluations (a Google Form with questions about the program) and got ready for our excursion of the day: trip to the waterfall, salto Baiguate. What a wonderful experience!!! The scenery was breathtaking, water was warm, and kids were fun.
On the way to La Salle, we stopped in the city for smoothies and light shopping. Time was of the essence, so we had to compromise on the store selections.

Dinner was a surprise for the group: PIZZA from Pizza and Pepperoni. We had BBQ chicken, pepperoni, cheese, parmesan and spicy vegetable. There was so much food and soda that we even took some back to share with La Salle’s owner.
All day, we enjoyed each other’s company and took thousands of pictures. We can’t believe that this “trip of our lives” is at its end. We spent the rest of the evening in our usual nightly meeting: sharing precious moments, our emotions, our hopes for our futures; making plans to meet in our “real” lives; planning to use tools we learned during this program.

After a long day, we are packing and getting ready to leave this wonderful land and return to NEW YORK! We all can’t wait to see our families and friends.

Masha: Mama e papa ya fas lublu ne zabydte menya zabrat. ?
Ana: Dedikoo, Mamikoo, Mikvarxart, can’t wait to see you <3
