Hi everyone! It’s hard to believe that it’s already Day 10 of our trip. Here’s a recap on the last day of our CAP project!
We woke up bright and early at 6:00 am with breakfast at 7:00 am to start our day. We introduced the game “Mafia” to the group and played a couple of rounds as our Mental Warmup. Afterward, we took a quick bus ride to the school at 9:00 am and started finishing what we came here to do.
We were able to complete our CAP project! We finished plastering, painting, decorating, and cleaning the local elementary school. There wasn’t as much to do on our last day versus the other days because we were mainly focusing on making sure every wall, railing, door, and window was evenly coated with paint (which most already were). Our outstanding teamwork helped us to finish the job an hour early.
The rest of the day became a lazy day up until dinner. Following dinner, we had our usual nightly meeting where we discussed the quote and question of the day. Afterward, we passed the torch to the new leaders of the day, but before that, we showcased our talents. As a group, we decided our talent needed to be the most unique and epic our trip had ever seen. So after lots of practicing and hard work, we performed a line dance to the song “Footloose”. It was definitely a big hit. To wrap up the night, we watched the documentary “The Kiss of Life” to prepare for tomorrow’s guest speaker.
That’s all from Day 10! Signing off: Isaiah, Val, and Paola, the Leaders of the Day

I hope somebody filmed the line dance – I’d like to see that! And congrats on finishing the CAP project. I bet it looks great! Only a few days left, so soak up every minute and take lots of pictures.
