First Day, In The Bag! 6-18-22

Sorry this is getting out so late! Our first official day in country from start to finish, started out with a beautiful, sunny day. We went to the flower festival and saw beautiful flower sculptures of ladies and swans etc. We left the flower festival and went to Bohío Campo Añil. There we had a tour of how the restaurant/ resort came to be and got to eat some amazing food. A crowd favorite was the cheesy eggplant and chayote desert! We then had a dance class led by our Program Coordinators (PCs ) Angelica and Miquea. Our class was cut short by the rain. Yes, you heard that right! We sat through a rainstorm and then went back to La Salle and vowed to finish the dance class the next day!

So glad you were able to enjoy the Flower Festival and enjoy new foods.
I hope you’re all enjoying the dancing, sounds like a lot of fun. Hope you’re all getting enough rest for your days ahead. We miss you so much Julia, but we’re glad you’re growing and making new friendships. Sending you lots of hugs and kisses.
