Wow!!!!
Where do we even start? Today was our day to finally be free from our leaders and have our own type of fun. We went to McDonald’s, the local bakery, the ice cream shop, a store that’s the equivalent of Walmart in Panama, and many more. We started our day at 8:00 AM because we NEED IT after those long days of cap work. We went to breakfast and ate waffles with some delicious syrup. Afterwards, we had some free time and we all went our different ways and went to different spots around Las Tablas. While we were having free time, some of us stayed back to watch movies and play cards. Today was a day of rest. We came back for lunch and ate fried chicken, rice, soup, and many other Panamanian dishes. After our stomachs were full, we went to McDonald’s to go get some more food because we are biggies. We had to be back at the hotel by 5, but we had an hour of rest before dinner. Tonight’s dinner was smoked pork with rice (dinner is always a suprise casue we don’t know what we are going to have until the last 5 minutes). Amandre and I sadly had to give up our leadership role due to the fact we filled out our duties as the amazing leaders we are. As our last day of this trip is coming up, we miss our friends and family so much. Can’t wait to see everyone we know like the DDC group chat(if you know, you know). I guess our parents as well!
It’s been fun being leaders but everything must come to an end, now we have to pass the torch on to our good friends(Ammy and Aiyanna). It’s been fun. PEACEEE!!
Sincerely,
Amandre and Andre

Wow McDonald’s twice? Can’t say The Lao approves. The Panamanian dishes sound amazing, especially because said cuisine is rare to come by (cooked well) in America. However, McDonald’s is a suboptimal option indeed. As they say in Macau, “From the river to the sea.”

Y’all did hard work in planting those trees!!!! I can’t imagine myself doing that. Y’all deserve this time to decompress, have fun and enjoy each other company!!! Also, how is the McDonald’s in Panama?
Aliyah
Lol you guys are ridiculous for saying “ I guess our parents as well!.” ????

Please note mom and dad do not know what we will be eating for dinner! Thursday will be your pick! Love mom
