FREE DAYYYY!!

 HELLO FROM ALESANDRA AND JACKIE!! 

Today was the midpoint of this trip. We miss you all very much but we still have another week together to continue building bonds! GUESS WHAT TODAAY WAS? FREE DAY!!!! Us Glimpsers had today to relax from all the amazing project work and take time for each other. We were all well rested with the extra two hours we got to sleep in. We started knocking on doors at around 9:00 am to let our friends know that breakfast was going to be ready soon. Although breakfast was optional, many Glimspers joined to eat cereal and talk about our day plans.

After that, we got to call you guysss!! Calls brought a lot of emotions but allowed us to console each other and feel the support in the room. Then we had lunch, which was fried chicken, rice, and potato salad. SOO YUMMYY!

 The most exciting part finally came at 1:00 pm where we chose our groups and dispersed to take a journey around Constanza. Everyone was really excited to explore the places we’ve glanced at. Many visited the ice cream shop, boutique shops for clothes, the basketball court near the military base, the community park, souvenir shops, and church, and a few went to the grocery store to pick up some snacks for the exciting journey we have tomorrow. Stay tuned!!    

We returned to Dilenia at 5:00 pm and got to finish phone calls while others enjoyed some free time. During this free time, we were asked to complete a mid-trip evaluation form, and those who requested laundry sorted out clothes they wanted to wash. Overall the energy from all of our friends felt relaxed and unified due to the time we were given to bond and learn more about each other. Dinner started at 7:00 pm which consisted of mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, and cheese with peppers. (Big love to the staff in the kitchen for always accommodating everyones needs <333) During nightly meeting, we passed the torch to the following leaders of the day, Trevon and Julia!!! We are so excited to see what tomorrow brings for us. BYEEEEEE!!! (P.S you missed out on the best duo dance ever by ussss ).
