About Me:
I’m Blair Mulligan, an upcoming senior that goes to Greenwich High School. In my free time, I enjoy reading and playing video games. I have a Mini Australian Shepherd dog named Zach. This will be my third time traveling outside the country. The other two times I visited Aruba and the Cayman Islands.
Why I Applied:
I’ve done research on Costa Rica multiple times for various school projects, but that’s all official information and doesn’t really depict what life there really is like. I’d like to take this trip to get to know the people and learn about a culture different from my own. Additionally, this was one of the trips that focused on the environment, which is a topic I am very passionate about. I wanted to learn more about the environment and ways to protect it, and this trip provided the perfect opportunity.

I can’t wait to meet everyone and enjoy everything this trip has to offer. I’m looking forward to the day when we get to be with a family and learn even more about the daily lives and customs of the Costa Rican people.

Aunt Julie had a lunch today for Mulligans, Dunnes and Stephens. Even the Stephenstermachers came down from VT to join in the festivities and share the delights they brought back from Germany. All say hello and wanted to see your blog. You might get a message or two for them. ?

Dear Blair,
No pictures today so I will imagine you eating the many wonderful meals I’m reading about.
Anna is going to start a theater workshop at Curtain Call next week for two weeks.
We had a GS beach day when you called at Tod’s Point since Anabelle is in town this week. Her last day in Greenwich is today so I am taking Anna, Anabelle and Hannah to the Aquarium.

You are really getting to see the culture of Costa Rica. Their stories are very much like ours, only with less of the comforts that we have. As you can see human nature is the same all over. Family, faith, friends and helping one another. Sometimes it’s easier to connect with people when there are less distractions. You are learning valuable lessons.
Glad you had a relaxing day yesterday. Although it wouldn’t have been relaxing for me to navigate all those slippery rocks. Ah youth! Can’t wait to hear what you and your partner will do when you are leaders.
