Hello (No. 9)

Hello Global Glimpsers and families! My name is Nathaly Moreira, and I am thrilled to be one of your Global Glimpse teachers this year. I can’t wait to meet each of you and see how much we all grow during our time together!

This is my first trip with Global Glimpse, and I am beyond excited to embark on this adventure with you. I’ve traveled to many US states, including Georgia, New York, Texas, Arizona, Maryland, and Washington, DC, and recently, I had the pleasure of exploring Italy and Istanbul. Now, I’m looking forward to experiencing the beauty of the Dominican Republic with all of you.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and my parents are from El Salvador. As a high school history teacher, I have a deep love for reading, learning new languages (I’m currently learning Turkish!), and spending quality time with my family. I also have a passion for trying new foods and exploring different cuisines. I also enjoy watching movies, and playing card games. To me, traveling is one of life’s greatest joys because the world is a classroom full of endless learning opportunities. I’m eager to bring back the experiences and insights from our trip to share with my students. And I hope you will do the same as Global Glimpse leaders. I believe that by connecting with people from different cultures and hearing their stories, we gain a deeper understanding of the world, which helps us become more empathetic, open-minded, and responsible global citizens.
