hi everyone! (No. 14)

Hi everyone! I’m Anabelle and I’m super excited to be traveling to Costa Rica next week! I go to Lincoln High School in San Francisco. My favorite things to do include playing volleyball, watching movies, and cooking and baking. I started playing volleyball during sixth grade and am looking forward to playing for my school team in the fall. As for movies and TV shows, my favorite genres are action and romance. I was and still sort of am interested in pursuing a career in the entertainment industry–both on the acting side and production–though now I’ve been thinking more about healthcare and surgery in particular. In the kitchen, I prefer baking but I also just like trying different foods in general, so that’s one thing I’m looking forward to for this trip! One last thing is that I am an avid reader of mostly romance, mystery, thriller, and fantasy books, and I’m also trying to get into classics and nonfiction novels. If anyone has any recommendations for me, I’ll put them on my list! This coming Monday will be my first time leaving the country so I’m a little bit nervous but mostly ready for a new experience. I’m really looking forward to learning about and immersing myself in a new culture, making friends with hopefully everyone in our group, and forming connections that last well after our time in Turrialba!
