Hi From Riobamba!

Greetings from Riobamba! After a long day of travel yesterday, it was so nice to wake up in Ecuador! After a filling breakfast, we boarded the bus to Riobamba, which was about four hours of beautiful scenery. Now we’re all checked in at the hotel and settling in.

A big component of today was engaging in various seminars, including the welcome and accommodation orientation and the Leader of the Day seminar. We got to meet the staff and learn more about our historic hotel. We also had an amazing soup that students are still talking about. During the Leader of the Day seminar, we went over expectations for each day and crowned our first leaders, Emma and Vani! They’re going to be amazing tomorrow. We also learned the history of the unity clap, which we’ll be using to close meetings. Our unity clap word for today was of course “soup.”

While we’re all ready to get some rest, we can’t wait for the days ahead. Good night and “see you” tomorrow!

The view out if the window of that room is incredibly beautiful. We thought it was a painting at first! We hope you all are having a great day!

Great update, thanks! Looking forward to reading about the experiences and seeing more pics (maybe a bit larger than today’s and higher resolution?)!
