History and Culture! (No. 2)

Hello Global Glimpse family and friends! This is Christian and Jamie, your GGLs, here with an exciting update!

We are finishing day 2 here in Beautiful Costa Rica. The sheer amount of birds, bugs, and plants is incredible. Today’s theme was History and Culture. We took a bus to Cartago, about 1.5 hours through the forest and volcanoes. We toured the city, the central market, and the beautiful Basilica de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles. We also viewed the ruins of the Santiago Apostle Church (Pictured Below). It has been great to see everyone getting along and pushing each other to be great leaders! After the tour, we had a great lunch at Cocina del Santuario. Plenty of rest and sleep is needed after a long day, see you tomorrow!
