Hey Global Glimpse Students and Families!
My name is Leslie Cano, and I will be one of your Global Glimpse Leaders traveling with you to Costa Rica this August! I am truly elated to travel with you all this summer and I can’t wait for us to have an unforgettable experience!!
A little bit about me…
I am a NYC native, born and raised in Queens however my heart loves being on the road! I have traveled to over 14 countries and have studied abroad in 5 different countries, one of them being Costa Rica! I have a double Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Conservation and Global Studies, and I am currently pursing my Master’s degree in Public Administration. Getting on-the-ground experiences during my study abroad trips in high school and college has motivated me to continue to give back to my community especially elevating youth to become confident leaders. I have been in the youth development field for over 8 years and have worked with Global Kids for over 3 years.
In my free time, I love exploring new foods and locations! I absolutely love music and dancing so expect a morning wake-up dance during breakfast I also enjoy cooking, reading, and being outdoors. I am fluent in Spanish so feel free to come to me if you need any help with translation! Having traveled in a service-learning program like Global Glimpse as a student, I am excited to partake in this new journey with you all as your GG Leader. Know that we are here to support you all and we’re with you every step of the way
