July 6, 2024: Fun Day

Hello everyone! Today, our GG leaders took a day off, so Nnate and Yoca took care of us. We woke up at 7 am and had breakfast at 8 am, which was a spread of flat bread, boiled eggs, fruit, hot chocolate, and oatmeal (and coffee!!) After giving in our laundry, we left for the beach at 9:30 am! We had to use Nnate’s playlist—never have we missed Ben more. Some people played catch in the water, while others listened to music and chilled on the sand. After a bit of rain, we headed back to the villa for lunch at 12:30. We had rice and beans, fried plantains, beef, potato fritters, and a fish dish. At 1:30, we headed back out to do some shopping in the city. Some people went with Yoca to get their nails done, while others went with Nnate to look around town. We all got ice cream on this trip! At 7, we came back and had a dinner of rice and beans, barbecue chicken, macaroni salad, and sausage. After that delicious meal, we had our nightly meeting and headed off to bed.
