Preparing!

Hello! My name is Camila Hernandez Villalobos, and I will be one of the Glimpsers going on the July 2024 trip to Costa Rica. I’m very excited to be going on this trip, I’ve been out of California multiple times but beyond that, I have only visited two places in Mexico. I’m very happy that I’ve been given the chance to travel more, especially to a place with new foods and cultures that will be new to me.

Some information, about me, is that I’m going to be a senior this upcoming school year. I enjoy reading and playing video games with my friends, and I overall like to hang out with my friends and family. I love animals, my family has 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 5 birds.

I applied to this trip to further expand my knowledge of cultures and places around the world. I was also interested in the fact that this trip would revolve around climate change, as I am looking into environmental science as a possible major in college. The idea of traveling around and experiencing a beautiful place such as Costa Rica was very interesting to me. Getting to see all these new places and making new memories with people is what I am most looking forward to. Can’t wait to see all of you for our trip :).
