Pura Vida!!! I’m ready. Are you ready!?!?

Hi Global Glimpsers and Families,

You will hear this a lot in Costa Rica, so let me get you started…Pura Vida!!! This will be our common phrase to greet others.

My name is Zivon Neal Hunter and I am one of your GGLs for our trip to Costa Rica. It is a pleasure and an honor to go on this trip with you. I am so delighted to travel with our Glimpsers to Costa Rica this summer. This is my second trip to Costa Rica and I am proud to call the country my second home! My hope is that we will all attend this trip with open hearts, minds, and positive spirits. I really want you to enjoy our trip and embrace every challenge and ask. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I am in my 4th year of teaching. I teach middle school and high school at Professional Performing Arts High School and I love it! I teach English language Arts and History and my concentration is in Special Education. I love teaching, mentoring, and working with young people. When I travel, I love examining architecture and nature. I love rain and cloudy days. I love playing and watching sports. I like anime too. I joined Global Glimpse because I believe in their vision to help young people travel, learn, and grow. I love to travel but I like traveling with awesome people. If Global Glimpse chose me to be one of your leaders, then you guys must be awesome!

I am excited to learn more about the culture, language, and amazing food! I am excited to see you all flourish and become lifelong travelers! I am excited because you guys took a leap to come on this trip, while others were not able to. I am grateful for this opportunity that Global Glimpse has given to us! If you are feeling nervous, that is okay. If you are unsure what to expect, that is okay too. just know that I will be there to support you, to the best of my ability. Embrace the challenge!
