Pura Vida! (No. 3)

I am a kid raised in Los Angeles around a loving family who have always encouraged me to take on new challenges and search for my own limitations. This junior year in high school, I faced a variety of tests and rigorous courses all while balancing sports, making this summer all the more rewarding. I was inspired to explore Costa Rica for its rich biodiversity which is reflected in my house; there are three fish, one bird, three chickens, and one dog but I have a grudge against bugs. Understanding that my summer vacation would fly by I planned ahead so that I could have new experiences. Thanks to my parent’s support, my GGL leader, and the high-achieving school, I have this unique opportunity to visit another country.

Sure, I readily enlisted for this program but I will miss my family dearly. This special opportunity has made those around me proud which makes me happy for the work I have put in. When there is work to be done I will be ready to answer. Sincerely, Osmin G
