We are happy to announce that the students and chaperones arrived safe and sound in Quito!
We spent the night in Quito and we will be traveling to Riobamba this morning.
For the rest of their time in Ecuador, you can expect updates from the Leaders of the Day via this blog. Feel free to leave a comment here for the glimpsers, and we are excited for you to share in their journey!
Best,
Annie & Paco

Meghan, we’re barely functioning without you. Nobody remembered to put the trash bins on the curb. I almost electrocuted myself (don’t ask). And I completely forgot to go to my yoga class. Salem says hi, but Murphy and Appollo haven’t noticed you’re missing yet. Also, they don’t speak English so can’t say hi regardless. Allie misses you so much…kidding! She still hates you.
Love you to pieces. Hope you’re having fun and that I made you laugh just a wee bit.

Meghan, you’re a leader! So suprised…not ? Hey…remember that time you went away to theatre camp for two weeks and you’re the only one who didn’t get any mail? Well, not this time! I can’t make up for that particular parenting fail, but I can possibly redeem myself with these blog post comments. So, today I hit a new low with my intellectual aptitude/memory loss. I thought I called Zachary’s to order a pizza, but when I got there to pick it up, they didn’t have my order. That’s because I had called Gioia. My pizza was there waiting for me, though. Love you! Miss you! Hope you’re having the bestest possible time!

Dearest Aaliyah,
I want you to know that I am extremely proud to be your father!! You have grown from the little girl I used to carry to now exploring other countries that we could only dream of visiting! You are such an inspiration not only to us, but to the Mexican community as a whole. I really hope you get to enjoy this once in a lifetime opportunity. Embrace every bit of it because once you get back to Bay Area, all bets are off!!! (just kidding). We miss you dearly and we can’t wait to see your beautiful smile again.
