TA1A Ready!

Hello Global Glimpsers and Families!

My name is Hong Ha Hoang and I am one of your Global Glimpse Leaders (GGLs). I am SUPER excited to meet you all and am looking forward to getting to know you and seeing you grow through the next 14 days!

This is my second trip with Global Glimpse! When I first heard about Global Glimpse, I wanted to join because I love traveling. However, the more I learned about Global Glimpse, I knew it is an organization I wanted to support. Global Glimpse brings groups of students from different high schools together to travel with teachers the summer after their junior year. While abroad, we explore history, culture, politics, poverty, education, development, and business in a developing country. I think it’s amazing that they challenge students to think critically, collaborate with each other and bring their new-found perspective back to their high schools and communities.

I have traveled extensively. TA1A’s trip to Panama with be my 33rd country. I love traveling because it allows me to experience a different way of life. I feel like I’ve really grown as a person since I started traveling. Aside from traveling, I love to go camping, playing escape rooms, playing video games, bowling, and event planning. I have a Mini Goldendoodle named Baylee. My day job is the Activities Director and Leadership Teacher at Andrew P. Hill High School. I cannot wait to bring back what I learned from our trip and you all to share with my students! I hope that you all learn from peoples’ stories and grow as leaders throughout this trip.
