The Last Tree

Hi lovely pi gu’s.

This morning, we woke up earlier than we ever woke up: FOUR FOURTY FIVE AM (4:45). We (Leaders of the Day) had to wake up at 4:30!!! T-T Since Maggie caught a cold the night before, she had to stay back and I (Shayla) had to be the leader all by myself in the morning. Very tough work, but I made it! After everyone woke up, we got breakfast & our tea, coffee, or juices (I had tea but some spilled on me while we were on the bus). For breakfast, we had waffles and sausages (I had waffles with banana and papaya!) After breakfast, we headed out to plant the last set of trees. After we got there, we divided and conquered the last set of rows and managed to finish planting before 11:30 am!! (WHOOOOOO) That gave us extra time at Wao Venao, the restaurant near the beach, where we had lunch and got to enjoy the playa for 2.5 hours! :O Some of us explored “Barbados” and “Cancun” at the beach while others rested underneath the shade. Regardless we all had a lot of fun. Afterward, we headed back to the hotel and had free time till 5:30 pm. Very fun me gusta!!! (I took a nice shower and dressed up just a little to end off my day as the “leader of the day”) At 5:30 we had a mini self-reflection which ended at 6:00 pm. At 6:00 pm we headed off to Las Tablas BBQ for dinner and Ceren’s Birthday!!! (YAYYYYYYY) Passing the mic to Maggie ?

Heyyyy it’s Maggie :)) So for the group that stayed back at the hotel, we also got waffles with sausage and papaya. Then, we went up to shower and rest before heading out to go shopping. We went out to buy some supplies for Ceren’s birthday. We got a Wonder Woman piñata, a big bag of candy, some goody bags, balloons, a Wonder Woman tablecloth, and banners. We ran to set up the venue around 17:00 when Ceren had her leadership meeting. Ms. Scott and I went to Las Tablas BBQ first and we started putting up the balloons and the tablecloth. Then after our self-reflection, Shayla and I gathered the glimpsers to head to Las Tablas BBQ where everything was ready for a celebration :)) Whoever wanted cake, got cake at the hotel. Thank you to Luz for buying the cake c: Props to Ms. Scott for buying us two pints of ice cream, vanilla and chocolate!! (Thank you, Ms. Scott!) After our nightly meeting tonight, Ceren hit the piñata and everyone RUSHED to get the candy. It was so funny to watch. In addition to the party, Ceren also received a gift.
