Hi Everyone!
My name is Laura, I am one of the Global Glimpse Leaders for the Chicago trip to Constanza in the Dominican Republic. I have traveled to over 30 countries, and have led high school students on trips to India and Ghana but this will be my first time traveling to the DR with Global Glimpes. During the school year, I teach art and sculpture at Kenwood High School, I have been a CPS art teacher for 18 years. My family and I live in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago where my husband and I are raising our two sons, ages 6 and 9. Some of the things I love are biking, gardening, camping, hiking, traveling, and working with clay. I can’t wait to meet you all and have an amazing experience in Constanza!

My name is Sbeydi, I am one of the Global Leaders for the Chicago Trip to Constanza in the Dominican Republic. Chicago is home for me, and I taught Spanish at a Noble Campus for 6 years, and pursued my career as an Assistant Dean of Culture. Studying abroad during my undergrad, sparked the passion to take students abroad because my life changed when I experienced coming out of my comfort zone. In my free time, I really enjoy nature walks, biking, reading, traveling, and hanging out with my family. I love to do spontaneous adventures that involve outdoor activities. I am really excited to experience the culture, food, and traditions with you all on this amazing trip to come. Looking forward to meeting you all! ?
