Hey Glimpsers!
It’s crazy to think that we only have 3 days left until we’re in the Dominican Republic!
My name is Jennifer and I’m from Columbus, OH, although I’ve moved around a bit, including some stays abroad. I’ll be starting my PhD in Linguistics in the fall at UIUC. I started out as a pharmacy major in undergrad, but I changed to linguistics halfway through junior year… It was almost a spontaneous decision, but it had been a long time coming. I just needed to take the plunge. Since then, my life’s gone in a bunch of weird and unexpected, but pleasant and welcome directions.
I started with Global Glimpse in 2014 as a Program Coordinator in Granada. I then returned to Nicaragua (Estelí) last year as a GGL. I’m excited to take all that I’ve learned to make this trip one amazing adventure, and to explore this country with all of you! I’ll be taking a lot of pictures so I hope no one is too camera-shy 🙂 Let’s keep our minds and hearts open to new experiences!
