Hello! Yesterday was a busy, yet fun day. We started our day by waking up at 7 AM and getting ready to go to the Aguas Blanca’s, which is the tallest waterfall in the Caribbean. We took a safari which took 1 to 2 hours. It was a fun and bumpy ride that felt like we were on a roller-coaster. The waterfall was so cold but we all had fun. After that we had a picnic by the waterfall and then headed back to Dilenias. Then we had free time where we went out into groups and bought things for ourselves. After we had to finish prepping for English class and then get dress to teach the lovely children.

Ilexix: Being leader of the day has taught me that my voice is important and that I must have confidence in my leadership skills. When I was officially announced leader of the day, I was really nervous because I am very soft spoken and I don’t like taking charge. As the day went on I’ve began to step out of my comfort zone and speak up more. For example, when dinner time came around I wasn’t scared to gather everyone and inform them on any announcement. Being leader of the day also allowed me to see that being a leader doesn’t always mean that you have to be aggressive and yell at people all the time. You just have to find a leadership style that fits you best.

Sonia: Hello my name is Sonia and I am the second leader for fun day. We started off the day by waking up at 7 am and getting everyone up and that was fun because it was another chance to improve my leadership skills. I was really nervous, because I was scared that I was not going to be organized and that everything will turn upside down. However, I learned that I should have confidence in myself and not let things bring me down but instead to learn from any challenges. The day was really fun and I just enjoyed spending time with my second family. P.s I love you grandpa and I will be home on Sunday.
